About Me!

Hello, Robin here. Hope you’re doing well.

Firstly, I have bipolar disorder and I write about that a lot. It is my ever present companion and I must deal with it every day. So, I write about it. If you feel inclined to do so you can support me in my work writing about Bipolar Disorder and living successfully by going to the BOOKS page and purchasing one of the books I have listed there. I have also reviewed each book. There are not too many because I don’t believe you need to spend all your good time reading and not acting well.

I’m a single, mother of three and seeker of success and survival. I’ve been single longer than I was married and I am overjoyed about that. The result of that marriage was my three beloved children. My eldest daughter is in the Air Force currently and is 25. My only son is 21 and has just moved into town to live with his girlfriend. My third and youngest daughter lives about half an hour from me in Town with her fiancée and is 18.

I also have as companions my 4-year-old Kelpie Bailey. She’s a herding dog. You know, one of those breeds that chases cows and horses and such. I also have two cats that love to torment me. For example, Maks is currently laying next to me on the sofa gently clawing my thigh and smiling.

I love to read when I can slow my mind down enough to do so and I love books with short chapters… like a page or two. When I can really focus I read at least one fiction book, several books on success and a couple books on dealing with Bipolar Disorder. I’ve recently taken to watching HGTV. I enjoy taking my dog walking especially taking her to the park and walking on the paths with other people around.

This blog is about me and my stuff. I have an alphabet following me around: BP, ADHD, GAD, PTSD, RA & OA. See? Alphabet soup. Bonus: my particular form of BP is Type 1, is mixed state and I rapidly cycle. Ta da! This simply means that while I’m manic… I’m also depressed and I switch back and forth much faster than the average person. Confusing? Try living in my head. Better yet, try living in the same house with me. My poor kids. (Translation, I have Bipolar Disorder Type 1, Attention Deficit Hyper-Activity Disorder, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Osteoarthritis.

This is really my story. It’s how life and I interact, react and dance around each other. Things are crazy ALL the TIME. I hope you’ll check back often. I’ll try my best to be honest and informative.

BP – Bipolar Disorder
ADHD – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
GAD – Generalized Anxiety Disorder
PTSD – Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
RA – Rheumatoid Arthritis
OA – Osteoarthritis

Brace yourself. Here in lies the truth of me, of who I am and the process of my life. I make no excuses for myself or my life. I am who I am. I may speak at times of difficult things, we all experience difficult things. These are my difficult and hysterical things. My curiosities. My brilliance. My irritations. My opinions. My reality. My loves.

May they entertain you, enlighten you, and teach you. Above all, may your life be better for having visited with me.

Hold onto your hats. I promise this journey I share with you will bounce around as much as my brain does.

P.S. Of course, I’ve been thinking:

I know that sometimes friends or family may read this. Please do not take anything personally. I know that may be a silly thing to say because you may have already taken it personally, but I really mean it.

Love to hear what you think. Please post a comment.
