My lawyer just called. They demanded $11 k for my accident last spring. Geico o offered back about $2 k. The accident was totally her fault. My lawyer says Geico is the MOST difficult company to deal with. After lawyer’s fees and medical expenses I doubt I’ll have enough to pay for the crown I need. That’s what it was going to pay for. For having such a fun gecko they sure are evil. $11….2$ Really????
Fallen Heroes
A week and a half ago four Lakewood, WA police officers were slaughtered while doing paperwork in a local coffee shop. Strangely the name of the shop is “Forza”, which the CEO says in Italian means “strength”. He wants his stores to be the strength of their communities and safe places. I think this makes the tragedy even more poignant.
The Tacoma Dome is the destination of today’s law enforcement procession where a dedication will be held for the officers.
News stations are covering the entire procession from McCord Air Force Base to the Dome has just begun and they will be following it throughout the day. I mean throughout the day… like from the beginning at 10 a.m. till it’s conclusion around dinnertime.
There are law enforcement professionals here from all around the country to pay tribute to the fallen officers. It’s truly amazing. There are satellite locations setup for civilians to gather to watch the proceedings and the T Dome is expected to fill to capacity. Incredible.
We’ve discussed why the hunt for law enforcement killers seems such a higher priority than that of a regular person. We’ve come to the conclusion that it’s because they put themselves on the line daily to keep the rest of us safe. It’s super important to keep them safe so they can do their jobs… and maybe they deserve the honor. Everyone’s killer should be caught… that goes without saying. It also should go without saying that these people were… are… special.
I honor the fallen in Lakewood, WA. Nine days ago. May it never happen again.
White House Bonehead Party Crashers
We all know by this time about the White House party crashers Michaele and Tareq Salahis. I just heard that they’re forming a Congressional Committee to investigate the incident.
CRASHERS!!
I understand the need to evaluate and repair the situation that allowed the Salahis to enter the dinner is imperative. However, a Congressional Committee? Is that going to be overkill? It seems like it should be an internal investigation, not a costly CC.
The safety of our President is of paramount importance and the Salahis, if found guilty of lying to get in, should pay the penalty of either $100,000 or 5 years in jail. “Crashing” any White House function should be viewed as a major peril.
Still, Congress has its head up it’s ass about enough other things. Slap the Secret Service and the WH staff around a bit. Fix it where it’s broke and not spend needlessly monies from an already broke Nation.
George Michael – Faith
Video http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x257jo_george-michael-faith_music
Ok, so this isn’t the greatest video but I love it. George Michael has rhythm up the ying yang. Why is this important? Because I have no rhythm… seriously I have not one lick of rhythm anywhere in my whole entire body. Zip. Nada. Nil. I can barley walk in rhythm. Well ok, I can sing. But I can’t clap and sing.
I love those drum dudes. You know the ones who play things as instruments. Oh what are they called? See they have what that I don’t have is what I want.
I always say that the person who can teach me to dance is the one for me. Haven’t found that person yet.
So I showed the video to my daughters and they kept wandering off. I told them I thought it was made in 1983. Sydney (12) said it looked really old. Hello duh?! I pointed out his perfect butt. Perfect shave. Perfect rhythm. Then I told them he was really a manly looking man yeah. (Which I didn’t believe for a minute.) Then I told them he was as gay as gay can be. Big deal.
Gotta love these kids.
I’m Not a Racist
My daughter who is in college came home recently and told me about a discussion she and another white woman and a black woman had. They were talking about racism. She told them that I (me) consider myself a racist. Then she explained that what I meant by that was that I was sick and tired of (especially) black people labeling all white people as racists. I’m tired of hearing that the white person got the job, we live in low income because we can’t get work, we get blamed for this and that. Buck-up! I say.
You want to talk about favoritism? I’m unemployed by choice and live on state money. I can’t tell you how people look down on me for this decision. I’m lazy, I’m working the system, I should get a job… I don’t have a job, and this is the other thing, I have a mental illness. Oooohhh no one wants to know some with a mental illness. In fact I have Bipolar Disorder. Watch out! I might murder you.
The black woman in the group had never considered someone hating the way blacks practice reverse racism is a racist. She was amazed. When I voice my opinion black people with me immediately consider me racist. Read the definitions below:
Racism is the belief that some races are just plain superior (physically, intellectually, or culturally) to others and therefore have a right to dominate them. Pshaw.
Racism is the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. It is discrimination or prejudice based on race. It is hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
I’m not a racist. My daughter says I’m a “stupid-ist.”
A bigot is a person who completely intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
So I can say with certainty that I’m not a bigot.
Discontent… let’s consider it. It means not to be content; dissatisfied, discontented, lack of content, displeased.
That’s what I am. Frustration bred by the misassumptions of others…
I guess I’m not a racist after all. I’m just discontentedly pissed off.
